Wakehurst Golf Club Limited reviews

5 Star Review by Marea Charalambu

With our utmost gratitude to Percy the chef for the attention to detail in catering to our needs, Craig the Bar Manager & Staff at the Wakehurst Golf Club for facilitating and creating a personable and memorable event for our family & friends celebrating the Life of our late mother. We highly recommend this Venue & its Staff. A personal thankyou to Carolyn Smart for suggesting this beautiful location and Percy to us.

4 Star Review by Michael Smit

Beautiful course and feels much more removed from the city given how close it is to suburbia. Clubhouse has class views back over the course and dam area. Pace of play is often eyewateringly slow and bookings can be tough, even as a member, but especially if playing with non-members.

5 Star Review by Peter Leventis

A very big and heart felt Thank you to Craig the bar manager, Percy the chef and all the staff at Wakehurst Golf Club for making our mothers wake such a memorable gathering for all those that attended. Our requests to accomodate our traditional requirements were not denied. Bar, and catering staff were accomodating, friendly, and respectful. Percy went over and above to cater to some of our cultural food requirements. Food was exceptional and for that we are very grateful. The location and views over the golf course and surrounding bushland are scenically stunning, impressing all our guests. Wakehurst Golf Club and team come highly recommended.

3 Star Review by John Allen

Stunning course, very challenging. Yet the pace of play on a Sunday afternoon was HORRENDOUS. 5.5 hours to finish 18 holes. No marshals speeding play up. 8min between tee off obviously a factor. Clearly trying to cram people. Should be minimum 10min.

1 Star Review by Darryl Smith

This would have been a 4.5 star review if it was based solely on the golfing facilities. Course is great, new greens popping up on a few holes and views from the clubhouse is spectacular. But, and its a huge but The staff are absolute c*nts. I dont know if its all staff but whether youre calling up the pro shop to query tee times, in the actual pro shop checking in or purchasing much needed golf essentials such as chocolate and caffeinated drinks or ordering drinks at the bar upstairs the attitude and disrespect for paying customers is off the charts. Weve all seen the memes and videos on Instagram depicting these overly aggressive golf course attendants and pro shop employees but this is another level. With all due respect, for someone who is responsible only for allocating tee times and selling confectionary their arrogance and disrespect is totally unfounded and completely unnecessary. Theyre fortunate to be working at a beautiful local course otherwise Id be taking my $55 fee elsewhere.
