How to Search for Venues
Use our search bar on the homepage to find clubs, hotels, pubs and restaurants near you. You can search by venue name, suburb, or type of food. Our "Venues Near Me" button uses your location to show the closest options.
Understanding Daily Specials
Our Daily Specials page shows food and drink deals available each day of the week. Filter by day or browse all specials to find the best deals at venues near you. Specials are updated regularly by venue owners.
Using the Interactive Map
Our map displays all venues in your area. Click on any marker to view venue details including ratings, features, and amenities. Zoom in and out to explore different areas, and use the GPS button to centre the map on your current location.
Venue Ratings & Features
Each venue displays a star rating based on customer reviews. Feature icons show available amenities such as gaming machines, restaurants, bars, accommodation, takeaway meals, and more. Hover over icons to see what each feature represents.

Managing Your Venue Profile
Updating Venue Information
Once you've claimed your venue, log in to your dashboard to update your business details including address, contact information, opening hours, and description. Keep your information current to help customers find you.
Adding Photos
Upload high-quality photos of your venue, food, and facilities to attract more visitors. We recommend adding at least 5 photos showing your main areas, signature dishes, and any special features. Photos should be at least 1200px wide for best display quality.
Managing Daily Specials
Add your daily food and drink specials through your venue dashboard. Specify which days each special is available, include pricing, and add an appetising description. Specials are a great way to attract new customers looking for deals.
Promoting Events
List your upcoming events including live music, trivia nights, special occasions, and entertainment. Events appear on your venue profile and in our events listings, helping you reach more potential attendees.

How to Claim Your Venue Profile
Take control of your venue's presence on Local Venue. Claiming your profile is free and gives you full access to manage your listing, respond to reviews, and promote your specials and events.

Find Your Venue
Search for your venue on Local Venue using the search bar or browse our directory. If your venue is already listed, you'll see a "Claim This Venue" button on your venue profile page. If your venue isn't listed yet, you can add it by contacting us.

Create an Account
Click the "Claim This Venue" button and create a Local Venue account if you don't already have one. You'll need to provide your name, email address, and create a secure password. If you already have an account, simply log in.

Verify Your Ownership
To protect venue owners, we require verification of your connection to the business. You can verify by receiving a phone call or SMS to the venue's listed phone number, receiving an email to the venue's official email domain, or providing business documentation such as an ABN registration or liquor licence.

Start Managing Your Profile
Once verified, you'll have full access to your venue dashboard. Update your business information, add photos, create daily specials, list events, and respond to customer reviews. Your claimed profile will display a verified badge to build trust with potential visitors.

Yes! Local Venue is completely free for visitors to search and discover venues. Venue owners can also claim and manage their basic profile for free.
How accurate is the venue information?
We strive to maintain accurate information for all venues. Claimed venues are managed directly by the venue owners, ensuring up-to-date details. For unclaimed venues, we source information from public records and periodically verify details.
My venue isn't listed. How do I add it?
If your venue isn't in our directory, please contact us through our contact form with your venue details including name, address, type (club/hotel/pub), and contact information. We'll add your venue and guide you through the claiming process.
How do I report incorrect information?
If you notice incorrect information on a venue listing, please use the "Report an Issue" link on the venue profile page or contact us directly. We appreciate community feedback to keep our directory accurate.
What areas does Local Venue cover?
Local Venue currently covers clubs, hotels, pubs and restaurants across New South Wales, Australia. We're continually expanding our coverage to include more venues and regions.
How long does venue verification take?
Phone and SMS verification is instant. Email verification typically takes a few minutes. If you're verifying via business documentation, our team usually reviews submissions within 1-2 business days.
