Coffs Harbour Yacht Club reviews

5 Star Review by Scott Smith

What a great club and in a great place at the jetty foreshore, I love to come here and always have a great day. The photos of the jetty beach were taken from the front of the yacht club . There's plenty of parking and is wheelchair accessible both the parking and the club as there is a lift in the foyer. There is a restaurant here but haven't eaten here for a little while so will review the restaurant next time I eat there , because I only review places I have been to or eating at and used there service's,I am always a customer of the places I reviewed.

I wasnt sure about this place for brekkie, being a tourist from Newcastle, but it was really really good. Quick service and very friendly staff with plenty of seating in and outside. The meals were amazing and very well presented. Great coffee too. The views are incredible. Definitely worth a visit.

Thanks for a delightful night. I'm a member of Beef & Burgundy, unfortunately not many were quick enough to grab tickets. Regardless, its great to make new contacts & enjoy the night. Cheers Peter Lloyd Auld

Went here twice in one week, fantastic service each time, Excellent kids meals and fish!

3 Star Review by David Strickland

The meals are very impressive and the price is very fair. The only very major issue is no heating. We sat with many others wondering why the gas heaters were not used. The heaters would also add atmosphere. Remember the food was terrific.

APPALING BAR SERVICE - If I could rate this a zero, I would. My partner and I who are regulars and members of the Yacht Club attempted to enjoy lunch yesterday around 12pm. I ordered food from the lovely restaurant staff and then a bottle of wine from the bar. Unfortunately, this is when it all turned sour! I asked for a bottle of the House Chardonnay as we always do. After pouring a glass we both realised that it wasnt the usual wine and it tasted off! We had been given the expensive French Chardonnay without explanation. I tried to explain to the short thin women with long brown hair that we had been given the wrong bottle. She then found another bottle of Chardonnay but wanted us to pay for the price of the Sav Blanc which was $6 more expensive than the French Chardonnay. I highlighted that it was Chardonnay not Sav Blanc but clearly, she struggled to know the difference even though it was written on the bottle? The women than refused to return the existing bottle that we didnt ask for and expected us to pay again for another bottle. It appeared that getting back to eating her lunch behind the bar was more important!! Unfortunately for the restaurant I cancelled our meals on principal because I wasnt prepared to pay for another bottle of wine. We recently recommended our family and friends who were visiting over the Xmas period to eat at the Yacht Club. I will never recommend this place again due the appalling attitude of the bar staff which is bad for the restaurant as they do amazing service and food.
