South Hungarian Club reviews
4 Star Review by Andrew Jens
An interesting place, in a very unexpected part of Sydney. There are lots of Hungarian produce (for sale) just after you enter the club (and if you've got the money, I'd recommend the Tokay wine). The interesting part starts when you join the queue for the food a queue that can take over an hour. The dish I got (chicken schnitzel, rice and sliced potatoes) was excellent and huge. It's the best value meal I've had in a long time. Could I suggest that a better way to organise things would be just to have everyone seated and then bring the dishes out on trolleys (at which point patrons could exchange their tickets for meals)? I mean, based on the average age of the patrons, I'm not sure they should be spending too much time in queues. There's a bar with quite reasonable prices for a wide variety of drinks. If you want to practice your Hungarian, this is definitely the place to do it.
