Two handy tips - become a member, its cheap and youll instantly gain access to discounted food and beverages. Tip 2, if youre planing on eating in the bistro here, when you order youll be asked which table that youre sitting at - so, before you order, secure your table, remember the table number, then order. We ordered the Atlantic salmon and a steak - both meals were great. And a person, from the kitchen, delivered the meals to our table. This club has been clean every time that weve visited. The club is well known for its cheaper meals, cafe, friendly atmosphere and gambling facilities- in fact, an area not far from the front foyer has been recently converted to a sports bar with gambling machines and an extremely large TV - its a punters paradise. Staff have always been friendly at this club. A sign at the club today says that the current bistro area is about to be upgraded, and the bistro will be moved temporarily upstairs. The facility is wheelchair friendly. The club is located in a handy position - opposite the train station and taxi rank - the bus stops are listed one block away. Theres plenty of on-site car parking spots here.

Casino, casino, casino. It might be a Catholic Club by name but by all other accounts its a good sized casino. No table games of the traditional sense either. Did I enjoy my time at this casino howeverF*ck yeah I did! The presentation was lovely, the bar staff were tops and it was very clean and tidy. Got some good wins as well and I was keen to stay the night but sadly work intrudes and I had to be responsible. Anyway its another of these clubs that are casinos!

The standards of the club has dropped drastically. Waited almost an hour for food at Lloyds. Sat at a table that hadnt been cleared. The suited fellow cleared a small portion, and we waited an hour, and asked two different waiters to have the table cleared. We got to the Bistro at 1920hrs, and the table was finally cleared at 2019hrs, so we can proceed to eat our food. The photos shows that we had moved the previous plates/cups to the end of the table, and we had wiped our end down with disinfectant wipes that we had brought along with us. What happened to the floor managers who would walk around and ask if everyone was good/happy?

The food there was not impressive. We had a few dishes for lunch including seafood fried rice noodles, which was very oily; chicken rice which bascially taste the same. The rare beef rice noodles, though the taste was fine, however the portion was small. The spring roll was much better. The prices were reasonable otherwise it was not worth a visit.

Has really gone downhill. Food overpriced and uneatable. 19.9.22 - Ordered fettuccine boscaiola and T-bone steak. Fettuccine was undercooked raw, the chicken tasted like it had been microwaved, and the T-bone tasted like it had been frozen for 9 months and cooked unthawed. Called manager and was told sorry I will pass onto other manager and hopefully you have better experience next time. I said I called you because I would rather resolve the issue than put up a negative review, he said that is your proactive and we encourage all reviews. So after $70+ we are told basically we don't care you have 2 x 90% uneaten meals that are uneatable. This club used used to have higher standards and better management, but the food that was dished last night may of look ok but I would not feed it to a dog.

Nice club.. good food. NYE they gave complimentary champagne and a small box of food like vegie spring rolls, nuggets, pie to all for free also. Nice touch.
