Probably the worst meal I've had in sometime. My first time at the Merriwa RSL Club.You visit small communities to support them and expecting a great country steak instead pay $27 for an overcooked steak tough as bootleather about the size of a cigarette packet served with about 50c worth of chips. No salad no veggies. No wonder they closed the restaurant counter shutters when we picked up our food. Simply woeful my dog would have done it tough to chew it. I would expect this quality food at a soup kitchen not a country club. Sorry but I wont dine there ever again and would not recommend this venue for food. You all know how I feel you go to a restaurant and pay overs for a sub standard meal. I challenge the cook and there integrity serving this quality food. Sorry Merriwa but this was ordinary.

The Merriwa RSL has the best bistro in town by far. Meals are affordable. Servings are generous. Highly recommend the mushroom gravy. The rich and delicious flavour compliments your steak/schnitzel and chips extremely well. Salad serves are generous and not just mixed lettuce leaves.

Passing through Merriwa on a Saturday night and I need a meal. I order a $16 pizza and pay for it with a drink while Im waiting. A frozen plastic wrapped pizza is what Im having? Are you serious? Can you at least tell customers that they are not freshly made and are probably a Coles or Woolies frozen budget item. Very disappointed when most people in the place where enjoying what looked like a descent roast meal. What a joke. 27/08/22

No matter what day, you are sure to feel welcome here. There is a much more inviting atmosphere and personability at the merriwa RSL and I highly recommend it for all travelling the golden highway.

Went to the RSL to support them. Had a beer but could not get a meal as the bistro was catering for a function. Very disappointing.
