Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club Limited reviews
4 Star Review by Krishna Kamal (Krish)
Fantastic club with all amenities including a gym. The people working here all are so friendly. The bar and restaurant are almost in the same enclosure yet separate. Great selection of food and desserts. The venue has been maintained really well. Love the fact that they have balter on tap in the bar. Ample parking right opposite the club. The West Ryde station is just a two minute walk away.

Dined in at the social kitchen here. Firstly this place is definitely a upgrade compared to the former palm court bistro in the RELC. The dishes are presented beautifully and delicious. Except for the barramundi, it wasn't that nice compare to the others.

Decided to enjoy dinner at the new Social Kitchen tonight! It was busy but still several available tables. The lady that greeted and seated us at the front was very friendly and approachable. Waited in line to order food for about 5 minutes. And 25 minutes later the most delicious Buffalo Chicken pizza arrived! It was so GOOD! Excited to try more items from the menu! Compliments to the chef.

Thoroughly enjoyed those truffle arancini .. instantly boosted my hangry mood to the happiest. Salad was very fresh, pleasant.. just filled with goodness. Had a lamb shank too - loved the sauce and mashed potato! Usually not a big fan of the lamb meat (depends on how its cooked), but enjoyed Social Kitchens lamb :).. didnt have that unique lamby smell so it was good

Been a member for over 40 years, the main reason was the Bamboo Court where you were always guaranteed a club feed at a club price. Enough of a reason to visit regularly and stay on and spend money buying a few drinks. But when the proprietors decided it was time to move on and the Club awarded the bistro to Social Kitchen that all stopped. The Social Kitchen is not a fit with any club bistro. Their menu is meant to appeal to sophisticated palates with prices to mach. Only problem, it's ordinary food at sophisticated prices. So my patronage has ceased. If I want to have a classy meal, I'm not going to have it at a club, I'll go to a restaurant. What I can't understand is why so many members and visitors do reviews, they give 3 and 4 stars for below mediocre dining experiences. Wasn't happy with the steak, items were left off the meal and so on. I don't mean to be unfairly critical but lets call a spade a spade. The Club has a bistro and a restaurant separated only by cuisine, not price. Jan2023 - Hi Club, where's your grandiloquent, verbose and circuitous response to my comment? We take customer service seriously and blah blah blah. I'm just going to have to bide my time for the Social Kitchen to meet its inevitable demise. Then I hope you'll put in a bistro that caters to all members.
