Bronte Inn Hotel reviews
1 Star Review by Michael Salmon
Good pub and I have been here many times - nice atmosphere, good range of beer and wine, with fun trivia on Tuesday nights, and usually the food is good. However, be warned, don't order the beetroot salad as a main meal (even though it's priced as a main), it is the size of a starter. $22 for a few leaves compared to the $20 Superfood salad which was 4 times the size (see photo). When I asked the staff about the difference in size, they explained this was the right portion size. Plus they didn't understand why $22 for a very small portion was an issue. Overall I was very disappointed with the staff response when I raised this with them.

Ate in the beer garden outside. Very poor lighting. Ordered the veal snitchzel. It was as rough and dry as some old single ply tissue paper. No juice and lacked bounce. The salad had a few interesting factors however it lacked direction, the fries were cold and the gravy was as bland as this review. The only good thing was that this place is dog friendly and if you are a beer drinker there seemed to be some good selections on tap.

Completely disappointed with this hotel: 1) no air conditioning, so in winter season it's freezing. 2) in 4 nights here NOBODY came to tidy my room despite having put the signal "tidy my room" of the hotel outside of my door. 3) WiFi does not reach my room, so I had to use my mobile data. If I had knew it before I would have gone to an apartment and spend half the price for this accommodation. Completely not recommend this hotel.

Pub was about half full when we walked in after oztag down the road and grabbed one of the many empty tables. As we sat down the bartender approached us and told us we had to sit outside in the cold as this is a family pub. Absolutely not okay to have discrimination like that in this day and age. Also food is not great.

Exceptional Sunday roast. We go to a different pub in sydney most weekends looking for the best roasts (we are English, it's a habit). This place is def in the top 3. Massive portions, good selection of meat, yorkys and fantastic roast spuds. They even have the premier league on tv which is a total rarity in this country!

Served Resches on tap....

Steak was tough. Cooking was inconsistent (well done one side, blue the other.) Sauces are either packet mix or really poor and reek of a lazy chef. Fries were over cooked. This meal was not worth $42. Atmosphere and venue was nice beer garden was nice.
