Harrigan's reviews

5 Star Review by Chris T

Lively pub with a great vibing atmosphere. The outdoor dining area was sunny relaxing and had a band playing some nice tunes. Enjoyed the steak sandwich. The steak was cooked medium and the flavours of the sauce and condiments were nice. The chips was top notch, crunchy, crispy and delicious! Great place to enjoy a meal with the family.

Went in a large group and found the service to be great, the food was excellent and the general atmosphere was wonderful. Live bands music over the weekend, a great selection of tap beers and of course local wines. We all really enjoyed it. It gets busy so book a table if you are wishing to dine in.

Overall the area is beautiful and lots of options for beverage, however our groups chicken wasn't cooked very well, some sections of the meat were raw. I had a friend later few days after comment the same on the chicken schnitzel. Would have felt more comfortable with a well cooked meal. Was concerning to hear the same comment days after.

Great Irish pub in the beautiful hunter region. Location, food and beverages all on point with a great aesthetic to the establishment. A very easy day trip to make from Sydney if you're up for a little drive, have some lunch then head back down. Strongly recommend the Guinness pie.

We were recommended this restaurant after our wine tasting and purchases at Hunter Valley. The service is a total shock. We arrived with 15 persons and were told that we could only be seated outside even when we could see spaces that could take more than 3 times our number at least. Thats even after we offered to be seated separately as its convenient for her. We were told we had to come into the kitchen table to place our orders, no table service. A sure sign of discrimination. Raised the same issue with a manager-dressed person and nothing was done. All wineries around should surely boycott this restaurant for the good of your clients.

Took almost a hour for our meal to arrive . People arrived and seated after us and had their meal with 15 mins. Had to ask twice what was the problem. All we got was that it was a casual who took the order and lunch won't be long. I replied not good enough afterwards we offered a complimentary drink. Not once were we apologised too for the mix up. I had to chase the result. I understand that it was busy and I get there could be delays. 3 tables that arrives after us and received their meals before us. We weren't the only table it happened to as well.

Had dinner over the Christmas break, they lost one order, over cooked another. We raised it and the missing order was addressed, then a second meal arrived. This might have been a one off but we will not be coming back
