The Abercrombie Hotel reviews
5 Star Review by Kim Izar
Love this place! I've only really went here to eat for lunch or dinner but they always have something delicious cooked up. Their Wednesday $3 tacos with $10 jugs are very yummy (I recommend the Korean-inspired taco!). The bar staff is also incredibly nice and the hotel vibe is very down to earth. I don't remember which weekday we went on, but they also have friendly games of beer pong for those who are into that!

This place has great food and great deals. Almost every night you can get a different meal for under $10. I got 3 tacos and a whole jug of cider for under $20. Great places to go with friends after work and unwind around dinner time or a great place to dance and have fun late night. Good music too!

A great bar and diner! The food there is really good and affordable, they got different specials most of the days of the week. Inside they got couches and tables, and usually a really nice atmosphere. They also got a huge outsider area, with lots of room. Also, 10$ jugs at any time!

Came here for the $3 Tacos which were really great. Definitely would recommend checking it out. It's a good place to come with friends just to hang out. They also have $10 jugs of beer which is a great deal. Only problem I had with them is that they have a $20 credit card minimum, so definitely bring cash.

I came here after just being up the road. I found the drinks to be reasonably priced and they do specials on food every night of the week. It's not too loud in here so that you can't have a conversation and the place looks good since it was refurbished. I would definitely come back here if I wanted a quiet night with friends but I don't think I'd be drawn back here for the experience of the place, would much rather adventure around the city.

Context: Made a reservation at "the Abercrombie" for 7pm for a small group - I was conscious the venue seems to have 3-4 different 'offerings'. 1. Arrive, go to the bar - seemingly interrupt a few staff having a chat. Told dinner reservations are upstairs in "casa rosa", said ok, and went upstairs. 2. Staff seem completely uninterested in engaging with customers, after trying to get attention for some time, a male staff member comes up and asks if everything is ok - explain, we go to the ipad, can't find reservation, show him confirmation "oh that's downstairs in a different venue" - explain we were sent upstairs. Sit at a table and the menu looks ok, but not really what we had in mind. 3. I go back downstairs, and was apologised to - told to take a booth, so we do. 4. We order drinks and food using the QR on the table 5. Some food arrives, then a can (no glass), and a long break 6. Some more food arrives, then a long break 7. Ask about some missing food, told by the staff member that she would go look for it 8. Go the the bar as it's 30 mins post ordering, had to collect the drinks as they "lost the ticket" 9. Enquire to a different staff member about the missing food - met with a "what?!"; explain, and she says "ok" and walks off never to be seen again 10. Original staff member from #7, another 20 mins later is asked about it - says she will check 11. On delivering food to a nearby table, we ask; met with a "i'm the only one running food, theres been an issue with the ticket" - by this time we had finished other food (which was average for the price - $36 for some inedible fish), ask about just getting a refund for the missing food; told to go to the bar 12. The bar had a few busy staff, we just left to not return. Perhaps the venue needs to focus on being a pub vs trying to be 3-4 different 'offerings' - especially when food comes from the same kitchen (when it actually arrives) and invest in some hospitality training for the team, as they weren't rushed off their feet with patrons.

Went to ask the manager out the front if you need a ticket to get into the venue and got told I was annoying and wont be coming in. Rude as
