Coogee Pavilion reviews
3 Star Review by Amy Haze
All in all good. The issue is more the service that is always slow an inattentive. Food is constantly good, although hardly ever new or existing. We do keep coming back so really no complaints. Decent pub food, good location.

Before coming, we contacted them to ask if we needed to book a table. They said that it was not needed. Once we arrived, however, they told us there were no available tables, and we had to sit at the bar. Fortunately, we were able to find a table and order the margarita pizza. It arrived very quickly, and it was delicious! It is a great place to try tab beers as they have a great variety. Despite the booking issue, this was a lovely place near the beach.

This place has always been one of my favourites not just because of the food but also because of the excellent service! Even on a busy Saturday night my girlfriend and I were looked after even though we didnt have a reservation.A special shout out to Cedric- one of the managers who was prompt to notice we were waiting on our food and immediately rushed to fetch us our order. He was kind enough to serve us a complimentary drink just for our wait. Its been a while since the service at a restaurant has felt this good! Highly recommended!

My seafood chowder was a disappointment, very small soup like portion with no prawns and little substance - the liquid was very thin for a chowder and served with a slice of sourdough toast. Very expensive at $36. The grilled octopus was overcooked and chewy with no taste. The burger was salty and a bit pink in the middle. The pizza however was good. King Prawns were fine but the bread was stale.

Large venue along the coast. It's popular in the afternoons and evenings, so book ahead for the restaurant or you can usually find a spot in the bar area. There are some interesting things on the menu, like leatherjacket, which I had. The food was tasty, but not amazing. It's a simple ordering process using your phone.
