Commonwealth Hotel Newcastle reviews
5 Star Review by Stan Tsouvallas
My partner and I came up to Newcastle for a wedding and spent the night here. We couldn't speak more highly of The Commonwealth!! The room was really big and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. It's a steal for the price. The location is also really good - it's only about 15min walk from the station or a 5 minute drive. The staff were lovely and Jane in particular was so welcoming. She really made us feel at home and really set the tone for what ended up being a great stay in Newcastle!! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We'll definitely be back!

A classic 1929s pub that perfectly fits in with the character of Cooks Hill, tasty pub food, excellent staff and a charming fit out. Good selection of draft beers

Absolutely blown away. So glad we went. The food was fabulous. Loads to choose from with an extensive menu of favourites and options you don't get everywhere. Tasted unreal and big servings too. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Lots of different areas to choose to sit. It was so good that we are going again this weekend (will try to remember to take photos before we tuck in)
5 Star Review by Sarah Frazer
We went for lunch and it was great value for money. The meals were huge and delicious. If anything there was too much food. The outdoor seating area with the plants has a really nice vibe to it too.
