Imperial Hotel COONABARABRAN reviews

4 Star Review by Ralf Wagner

My wife & I had dinner here after booking a table. The food was very good Pub food in a nice comfortable & clean setting. The bar area was also spotless & well presented. The prices were about the same as any other Pub & certainly not over the top. The staff were very friendly & helpful even though it was extremely busy due to the North West Equestrian Expo. It's a good country pub in a small country town for heaven's sake - I don't know what all the negative comments are about. If you want a greater choice of beer, stay in the large metropolitan cities & if you want to be treated well by staff, make sure you treat them the way that you expect to be treated.

Great night at the pub! Our meals were great, especially the lamb cutlets! Kids play area right next to bistro area so could keep a good eye on your kids. Very baby and toddler friendly as it was all softfall. Very clean! Very attentive bistro staff.

Decor: renovated pub, plastic woodgrain tables and comfortable chairs. Good spacing between tables. Staff: friendly and efficient. Menu: Typical pub menu - Schnitzel, Burger, Steak, Fish and chips, etc. Pizza and Pasta also offered. Food: Pizza excellent, Schnitzel was huge and juicy. Steak was tasty but tough!. Meal sizes good. Service was quick, only 15 minutes from order to delivery. Prices: Average for country pub. Ambience: Noise levels were quite low making conversation easy, despite being over half full. Recommended, we'll eat here again.

I always like dropping in at the Imperial Hotel. Its a big sized pub with a good atmosphere. On our most recent visit on a chilly winters night the combustion heater was stoked up providing great warmth. We also had a great meal. I recommend calling in when passing through or visiting Coonabarabran.

This should be renamed The Pigs Trough Hotel. My 1st room had a slept in bed and wet towel on the floor. . Next room stunk, hairs on the pillow and Ive a picture of the rotting carpet / floor under the dripping basin. Happy to share. Food was barely above standard service station grub. Young staff were friendly and courteous, beer was cold. Dont say you werent warned.

Imperial Hotel has a great old pub feeling with a nice bistro setting. The bistro opens at 6 on the dot but you can grab a drink in the bar anytime :). We had the cutlets, steaks and schnitzels and they were excellent. I went back for the cutlets. Service was quick and prices reasonable. Great place to go in Coona

A lovely country pub. The food was spot on and quick. The licensee (Jackie) was lovely to chat to and took the time to have a chat. We'll definitely be stopping in here again!!! Thanks.
