5 Star Review by Nikki Reyes

A wonderful welcoming host. Thank you Gary, we thoroughly loved our nights stay at your lovely old pub. So much amazing history in this place and such a comfortable affordable nights stay. The shared bathroom didnt bother us at all and it was very clean. Loved the kitchen facilities available too. Hope to back again on our future trips south to Canberra. Regards Nikki from Moranbah

Best pub food. Julie's is an amazing chef. The accommodation is a step back in time but really it's clean and comfortable as I slept like a baby. I would come back again as the hospitality was second to none. Why sit in a hotel room when you can join Gary the publican at the bar for some good old fashioned banter.

Pretty good compared to the last room I got from a different pub/hotel. The room had a sink which was convenient. Toilets and shower were shared as was expected. TV was pretty small and dated, didn't have HDMI on it but it did have a usb port. There was a kitchen outside your room you could use to get cereal, boiling water, etc. Staff there was very friendly and food downstairs was good.

We stayed here on Tuesday 3rd of July 18, we had a great meal, and beers, the hosts are very welcoming with all this wonderful 1913 Hotel has to offer. unfortunately.. another person name of Troy.....stayed same night kept us awake until 3am (inconsiderate guest) works for interflow repairing the sewers for the local council.

I travel from the coast every few weeks and i always stay at the commercial hotel. The rooms are great and comfortable with aircons and tvs and are reasonably priced. The food is great and prices are good and the atmosphere is great with wood fires and a family friendly atmosphere. The manager and staff are great and cant do enough for you to make your stay the most enjoyable experience.
