The owner has changed. The old fashioned building and overpriced stuffs don't bother me anyway. I didn't enjoy my stay because attitude is the only that matters to me. The hotel doesn't represent what that is supposed to be as a service industry as I know. We lost our belonging during the stay as well so I'm gonna say that the security of the hotel is terrible. Very disappointed.

Fantastic value, traditional pub rooms, some suites available with an ensuite. Rooms are comfortable, dated but clean and tidy. Linen was fresh and towels were clean. Pub downstairs is basic but friendly, kitchen is run as a different enterprise, food was basic but he had just taken it over and the selections should improve. If you are after a schnitty, a few beers and a comfortable cot this is a great choice. Room had no A/C but it did have a fan if that matters, the price reflects that though.

New owners. Huge old hotel that has history of shops and restaurant under ground. These are not open now but interesting. Accommodation available. There is a park nearby that has The Captains Walk. All our great Cricket Captains.

Didnt enjoy my stay, hot water took forever, literally 5mins and had no extra blankets and no aircon in the middle of winter, not the cleanest or most comfortable either..

Had lunch there not impressed out of four meals there was only one eatable. Had to wait forever and then the steak was over cooked and $40.00 for frozen vegetables really ? Most likely wont be back in a hurry.

I was in cootamundra on Saturday and dropped into the new Albion hotel for a meal. I will say I wasn't overly impressed with what I was served. I spoke to the staff about my concern. They were very polite and attentive to myself. They took my name phone number and advised me that the manager would give me a call to discuss the issue. Today I received a phone call from the manager with a resolution to my issue. She also took the time to discuss with me that it is a new business and as we all know with every new business there are teething problems and they are working hard to rectify them. I booked a room for new years eve. The room was clean and very comfortable. Great atmosphere and The entertainment was A grade and everyone had a great night. In this case the positives far outway the negative so I will be patronising this establishment in the future. Thank for your prompt and friendly customer service.

Dropped in for a meal with the family as passing through Cootamundra on 4 Jan 23. Place looked amazing (perhaps a recent renovation??), the beer was cold and the staff friendly (albeit slow service) but unfortunately that was the extent of the good news. The slow cooked pork ribs (only 4 ribs in the serving) was more broiled than slow cooked and served with a gravy with the consistency of dirty water and topped with raw Spanish onions (first time I've ever seen that option...). The steak was asked for medium and came out about 1cm thick and well done. There were a no chips available and the mashed potato was a horrendous packet powdered instead (Deb brand?) which was inedible with some steamed vegetables. The flathead fish & chips came out and were told when picking up the meal the flathead was not available and instead was frozen basa fillets. Just to top it all off the kids playground safety gate didn't align and couldn't be closed with a forceful nudge. Looks like some great work done on the establishments appearance recently but unfortunately the food does not match and I cannot recommend. Avoid if you're looking for a meal.

Myself and some friends at the restaurant on 05.01.2023, a quite Wednesday night. The service was terrible and slow, the food was expensive and the worst pub food i have had in a very long time. 400g rump steak was thin, overcooked and barely 250g, they had no chips available so the disgusting hospital mash potato was the only thing available with some microwave vegetables. Chicken wings for entree were expensive and clearly came frozen from a bag into the deep fryer. Cannot fully express how bad the overall meal was, but we walked to a nearby woolworths and bought icecreams just to wash the Albions meal away. Only good thing was the nice outdoor area
