5 Star Review by Front Desk

My wife and daughter had lunch today and it exceeded our expectations! Rooftop restaurant/bar was had such lovely decors! the wall paper and furnishings were lovely! The good was amazing!! the pumpkin salad wow! and the schnitzel our 3 yr old demolished! But it was the service! The gentlemen there (sorry was difficult name to remember) was very tentative and even gave our kid some colouring papers. Even a nice treat at the end! loved the surprise! Will 100% be back, and will bring the work crew with me again very soon!

A true local gem. This venue has it all. Delectable high quality food, nice cocktails, gracious and genuine service from all the staff and multiple well-presented function spaces for hire but nothing beats a cold drink on the pretty terrace on a sun-drenched afternoon looking out to the bridge and water views. I've hosted many an event there from large corporate soirees on the Terrace to casual team drinks in the Cap Room and most recently had my very own babyshower in the Bridge Room. Each event was seamless and the service provided by the lovely Leonne and her excellent team of staff (shout out to Kevin, Levoni and the skilled bartenders) was second to none and nothing was ever too much trouble which makes booking, planning and hosting events there such a pleasure. Standout dishes are the bbq prawns, oysters, scallops, arancini and the sirloin steak is so tender. Dinner in the main restaurant is a lovely treat and we were lucky to have enjoyed a meal there with our newborn just on Sunday so this venue is also very family friendly too. Highly recommend you pop in for a visit if you are ever in The Rocks area.

Short story: Absolutely shocked at the quality of food and service the venue has multiple managers and nobody could help definitely has something to say about his position. Would NOT recommend going here for any level of food. Long story: We had to wait 1hr 15 for our first meal to arrive. Further that we had to wait another 45 minutes for the last person of 6 to be served there food. Asked a couple of staff what was going on they said they would check it out, never came back to the table. Had to go ask for the manager, told they would come to the table, Never came to the table. Asked for the venue manager and told he was out. Greedy pricing for the food (low quality, pics attached) everything is about $10 overpriced. After 20years myself in the industry would recommend a serious overhaul of there service at the venue its shocking and not Australian - how the owner realises his venue is being run like this and steps up, look at the other reviews they are mostly poor Response: Thankyou for replying, one of your wait staff did offer us a drink however I refused, after speaking to your downstairs bar manager who told me that Mitch was out getting bread rolls I left my number but was not contacted, she also said to leave a review here. after that I left the venue. So maybe it was another table who received these drinks. yes I understand it may have been a busy day for your venue, but after being referred here I can see its not the first time people have been unsatisfied with the quality and price of the food you serve

I wanted to try a vegan dish since I'm trying to be healthy I ordered the Main - Roasted Eggplant 3/5 It's a good looking dish but it was literally just eggplant with some tomatoes and cucumber and this dish was $35. Felt overpriced for me and it was very oily (it's probably the healthy oils) but I felt a bit sick afterwards and was hungry after an hour. Wouldn't recommend this dish even if you're vegan. The dish would have been more filling if they added mashed potato or sweet potato under the eggplant. Not just eggplant on its own.

So the location, history and view from the terrace make this place worth visiting but the food is way over priced for what you get. Maybe well just come for a beer next time?
