Commercial Hotel DORRIGO reviews

4 Star Review by Ren Atkinson

The hotel was lovely, the room spacious, very clean, hotel staff were polite & accommodating. As former hospitality expert and industry worker I couldnt fault it. Reception man suggested a better room as it was the same price anyway. Shower great. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. We had the garlic cheesy bread & the vegetable curry. I would give it 4.5 stars as the bed was hard and I thought needed an upgrade. Checkin and check out was quick. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night. Room was comfortable and bathroom very good. Dinner in the restaurant was not part of our deal, but we ate there and the food was excellent. I'm giving 4-stars only because the breakfast that is included was a bit disappointing. I understand how they try to keep it self-serve to keep down costs, but I did miss my eggs!

5 Star Review by Marie Heising

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful heritage Hotel. The room was oozing with old world charm. It was also very comfortable, and well equipped. We enjoyed dining on some very nice meals each evening in the Hotel restaurant. We definitely will be back.

The food was great! Hats off to the chef! But the service was pretty average, snappy responses.. when my husband asked for a particular beer(tooheys extra dry) from the bar he was told "nah" straight up.. we were polite with manners and got ignored or no smiles. Such a shame as we love the history of the Dorrigo pub.

Rooms spacious and comfortable. Loved the historical fittings that had been retained. Great small town. Resident main St. Rooster. Really a 5 star pub. Not expensive included a light breakfast..

Great stop for lunch with delicious pub fare. Nice service that came with a smile and a good chat when ordering. Love that you can help yourself to water and glasses.

We have often dropped into the Heritage in Dorrigo for a feed on our way out west to visit family. This time was for a quick catch-up with my Dad, who was travelling. We had lunch, and I can honestly say I had, easily, the best lamb cutlets I have ever had. Served with good mashed potatoes and a superb red wine jus, the Cowra lamb was delicate, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Fantastic.
