Really enjoyed our meals here. Delicious! Lamb cutlets were awesome as were lamb shanks and the chicken dish my friend ordered. Service was prompt and friendly too. The decor is a little dated but the view from back deck was lovely.

The place is spotless, which is hard in a place that size. Staff was very friendly. I got there on Monday night - which I understand doesnt offer much food options in Eden - so the place was packed with 2 big birthday tables; the kitchen was therefore under the pump that being said, that doesnt excuse an overcooked salmon and cold chips. Its a shame because the fish was very well seasoned.

We have been staying at Eden for the past five days. Ate out second night we were here chinese. Disgusting. Insisted we return here from six years ago. Service is still excellent. Variety of meals on offer excellent and the food, well have to hand them a hat trick most excellent. Thanks great Southern Eden for the best value, quality and service.

Passing through on the way to Sydney we were told that the pub did good meals. I'm sorry to say that after a referral and looking forward to a good meal it was all downhill from there. We had to wait over an hour for a couple of very basic schnitzels. The salad was better than the basic bit of tomato and couple of different varieties of lettuce but the chips were cold and tasted like they were the fries that McDonald's rejected. My veal schnitzel looked like it had been in a Bain Marie for a week and microwaved just for me. Thank God the beer has better quality control but the bottled coke was barely chilled. A tip for the staff would be that if there is going to be a long delay in serving meals they should say so when ordering.

Pub tucker. We visited from the southern highlands and Eden was the destination point. We hoped to have a fine dining experience there for lunch. The Visitor Centre told us this hotel was the best in town. On what basis, by whose standards and with what right could I give less than my max for pub tucker? 3 stars. We had hoped for better.
