Duke of Edinburgh Hotel reviews

5 Star Review by Sean Burns

Walked in and was immediately met with the earsplitting sounds of four young men who called themselves The Wicked Wings. They were all dressed leather pants and accessories with coloured bandanas. Reminded me of that movie Cruising. I then progressed the bathroom and was struck by the intoxicating odour! Took quite a while to get a stall, though. Not sure what thats about. I then went to the bar and ordered a shot of whisky. It was burning my throat and I struggled to keep it down. The bartender told me to drink some pickle juice, which I thought was a euphemism. It sure did the trick! After 18 beers, the bouncer finally told me I needed to go home. I guess Sydney really is strict these days. Overall, a great experience. Maybe in 10 years when Im not hungover anymore, Ill come in again!

Come for some dinner with my wife before a show at the Enmore. There were a lot of beers I hadn't seen before but the staff directed me in the right direction. I've never tried a Sour before, definitely recommend! We had the sausage pizza and the pop corn chicken. It's to die for. Will be telling our friends who go to shows often to check The Duke out. See you next time guys!

Had the best time here - would HIGHLY recommend the duke cheeseburger - it was like heaven on a plate!! We also tried the boozy iced tea by recommendation of the bar staff and it was AMAZING. If you're looking for a place for dinner and drinks, this is the place, the staff, atmosphere and food are 10/10

If you are missing the vibe of Frankies Pizza, your problems are solved. Live music of this ilk is now at The Duke. Of course it has long been an institution on Enmore road, long before Frankies and long may it reign.
