Epping Hotel reviews
5 Star Review by Gordon Halnan
Really good food and large servings. Double baked lamb was excellent - nice and tender and the end bits were crispy! The vegetables were amazing - especially the potato and sweet potato. Nachos was so big it was impossible to finish it. Calamari was huge too. And Parmigiana, well, who doesnt love a good parmy? Well be back.

This place is almost always packed in weekends. The music is pretty good. The establishment is really clean and well maintained. The staff are pretty good too. Tried some cocktails and they did a decent job not the best bit pretty good. Drinks are decently priced. Nice outdoor area but you never end up getting a table especially on weekends... They could do with a free extra tables or chairs.

This pub is modern and clean. It is located directly opposite the Epping metro and rail station. A note for male clientele, the door to the toilets upstairs is broken, and needs an extra push to allow access. The staff are friendly. The bar is large. On the night I attended, the bar wasnt serving jugs of drinks, only glasses of drinks. The bistro food variety is excellent - and staff deliver your food to your table. The pub has sports betting facilities and large screen TVs that show sports programming.

Spacious and clean venue. Lots of options for food, not so much for great beers. Also quite a long wait. Had the chicken parmigiana ($28) - chicken was over cook and dry. Fries were between crispy and stale. Lots of cheese which was to my liking.

Hi I went to the Epping Pub last Friday for lunch with a couple of friends. Went to bar to order a bottle of Chardonnay. It was warm. The very kind barman offered a glass of ice to go with it. But really, what sort of pub/bar does not have a cold bottle of white wine. Then the real problem: Ordered the Kilcoy 200g rump made a "surf & turf" to be done "medium rare" It was promptly served but when I cut in to the ends it was absolutely over cooked. The very switched on waitress took it back to the chef and it was returned back to me cut in half which I could see that it was actually cooked medium rare in the middle. It was then obvious that the taste, texture and quality of the cut of meat was well below standard and did not reflect the product description in the menu. Overall the steak was inedible. The 2 prawns were lovely as was the green salad. The scallops (while tasty) were about the size of a 10 cent piece. Bearnaise sauce scant. The photo attached is what I could not eat. While the service was really good - the food quality was below standard. Will not be going to the Epping Pub again!

They will serve the people in the pokies first while 4 or 5 line up at the bar. There is so much better so very close. Go there instead

It was great afternoon to be there, with the shutters open to allow the breeze in, for an arvo beverage and some dinner. Food service was prompt. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

The tenderloin is not tender at all, asked for medium rare, served with medium well, veggies are nice hence the stars, staff are friendly and its a nice venue. Just wish they had better steak choices.
