Great Central Hotel reviews
4 Star Review by Catherine
We enjoyed lunch at the hotel's bistro/coffee shop. The meals were well presented and delicious. I was able to order a locally brewed beer with lunch which was really good. I would definitely recommend and return.

Awesome Country Pub! Basic but lovely rooms, ample amenities and beautifully decorated. Tony was a very welcoming host to 3 Bikers with no booking and storms to dodge, and again 4 days later on our return trip. Great food in the bar, fancier in the restaurant if you prefer, just a lovely place to stay. Right in the middle of town too.

Pretty good place to stay. Had a roast for dinner which was nice. Rooms clean and tidy

We went there for dinner, oh my. How do I phrase this. Ordinary is probably the best I can do. The meal was ok,ish. My partner is a vegetarian, I know dodgy taste buds, but she was able to find one of here favourites. Fried Camembert with cranberry sauce, alas it arrived with no cranberry. The most wonderful bar lady, who was truly excellent came up with an alternative sauce. Sadly not so great. My steak arrived a bit later, also sadly a bit over cooked, the pepper sauce was good. All in all a bit disappointing saved only by the lovely bar lady, I wish I remembered her name, who fed us free alcohol to try and make up.

I had dinner there last night and it was one of the best roast dinner that I have ever had ,two meats, lamb and pork with a roast meat gravy and accompanied with roast vegetables, very filling and reasonabley priced,I wouldn't hesitate to recommend having meals there.

This was woeful. No Manager in sight. Young kids running everything & were inexperienced. Girl with glasses (behind bar) was rude & didnt have RSA. When asked if she had wine list, was told they didnt have one so I spotted red wine behind the bar. All customers were talking about how bad it was. Thank goodness the food was good though!

This is straight up a BANGER of a restaurant, if you're a local or a blow in, you're going to want to come here. The place has an authentic relaxed country pub meets classy restaurant vibe. The service was 5 stars, with the waiters and bartenders going above and beyond with service and the Chef's rustling up some great pub feeds. There is no doubt in my mind I'll be back to Glen Innes with a fist full of sapphires and a belly full of dinner and drinks from the Great Central Hotel. See you later xxz
