Albion Hotel GRABBEN GULLEN reviews

5 Star Review by Louise Bird

Had the best seafood basket ever. The chef, (owner) was a very interesting character and made us feel welcome. Small country pub but worth the trip.

5 Star Review by Lachlan MacDonald

Great food and cold beer, plus some interesting historical motorbikes inside. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

If you like seafood this place is a very good local pub serving a variety of options from King prawn to different fish. If you enjoy encountering warm and kind people on a road trip, this place is fantastic with the best local hospitality. Bonus: the chef can cook good Asian food. Even it's not on the menu, he can make authentic seafood stir fry. I was not feeling like grill or batter beer style seafood that night, but chef Ray is so kind and prepared me special treat stir fry and considerably served with chopsticks!

3 Star Review by Mark Price

Had a bad beer, should have returned it. But with a bunch of mates so didn't make a fuss, drops a few stars for that. Had the fish and chips and it was overpriced for what we had. The saving grace were the three motorcycles in the bar, two limited edition Thruxtons and a '73 Yamaha 650 which brought back some great memories. The evening was a saved by the company and to be fair the landlord and barmaid were friendly and efficient. Parking is very easy out front.

5 Star Review by Eat Canberra

This place is a hidden gem! It's a quirky country pub that dishes up great seafood. We've been a few times now and don't have any complaints. Ray's seafood dishes are fresh and cooked perfectly. It's not often that you find great seafood in the country so it's a real treat when you do! Highly recommended taking a drive and stopping in here for lunch or dinner. It's best to book a table and they usually only do seafood on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

5 Star Review by Thomas Rushton

The seafood is amazeballs. Went in a group of 15 for a work function and they looked after us amazingly. Worthy of the drive!
