I visited the restaurant with a group of nine women for lunch. Everyone really enjoyed the experience which is better than a usual pub menu. All food came out at once and a high standard. The atmosphere was great with white tablecloths and table trimmings to make a lovely dining experience. We are regulars at the Northern Star and the management are constantly trying to please their customers. Great value!

Booked this place at short notice through Expedia.. there was a lot of negative reviews so I wasnt expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The rooms are very clean and tidy, new furnishings and nicely decorated, brand new bathroom which were also clean. I stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night and didnt hear of any loud music that others complained about, and slept peacefully both nights. Theres a bar fridge, with complementary bottled water, and other amenities that were handy. The fan and air conditioning was perfect given it has been quite warm in Newcastle during my stay. Ive enjoyed my stay here, and will definitely return on my next visit to Newcastle without hesitation.

It has the best Guinness in town but the food was a bit of a let down. Was quite busy when we were there with kids, most places try and get the kids meals out first but not this time. We ordered steak done medium and they all came out different. Also disappointed they ran out of Guinness pie
