Doncaster Hotel reviews

4 Star Review by R L

Nice pub, friendly staff, decent food selections and decent portion sizes. my burger bun was probably on last day and toasting didn't manage to do the refresh job it should've, but other than that it was probably one of the best pub burgers i've had in a long while. The wife turned a regular grilled chicken burger into a Gluten free option by deconstructing it and losing the bun of course, Staff were very accommodating, and happy to help. would recommend, and will definitely be back.

Beautiful pub, I visit with my family every so often. Service is usually good and the staff are friendly, prices are average, food is usually quite good but declining in quality. On one of my more recent visits however I had to wait an hour for a schnitzel and chips, I understand long waits due to busy service times but it was absolutely ridiculous. The chips weren't even hot by the time I did get my food.

Spacious, clean and excellent service. We had the $15 Pizza Special which was great. We spent three hours working on a Project in a quiet and comfortable place. Highly recommend it.

What a lovely place to have a get together with friends. The food and drinks was well priced. The one thing I did not like is being moved from one place to the next as it got later.

Usually come to this pub a few times a month. Until last Saturday when on the way back from the Footy at Moore Park was denied entry due to there being "too many intocs from the footy game" even though I wasn't intoxicated myself at all and there is two giant signs that say OPEN TILL 3AM on them on both sides of the pub. I couldn't even see anyone in there, absolute joke of an establishment I know all they care about is pokies I bet if I came after without my jersey and a 50 dollar note for the pokies they would have let me in... Will be telling my mates to go elsewhere in future

Nice pub, plenty beer taps, but not a lot of independent craft, Gage roads and Coopers closest. Plenty in the Carlton/Asahi range

The female staff behind the bar are extremely rude.
