15$ Steak for lunch as a special and that it was, tender, well cooked and complimented with tasty fries and salad. Coffee was a winner, too, a big surprise for a Country pub. Looking around the venue it is clear to see money has been spent to bring the pub up to a modern standard while maintaining the heritage appeal. To top it off, the staff were friendly and the pub toasty on a cold winters day. What more could you ask for.

My gosh what a terrible place. The woman behind the bar was so rude and unfriendly. The only people in the whole pub were her and two kitchen staff. What a terrible experience. A TAB sign out the front when I asked do you have a TAB? The answer was NO! How awful when country people everywhere are so lovely friendly and kind and I have to encounter this bad apple. Even to the point where they have a huge sign on the door to the toilets. SHUT THE DOOR. I forgot about the sign coming back in was told to go back and close the door? Door closers are $25 at Bunnings. What a dump.

Hi, Ive reported to TAB NSW that you continue to display a permanent TAB venue sign outside the hotel without actually providing this service to patrons. This is highly misleading for those passing through the town that simply wish to use what is a commonly available service across pubs in NSW and throughout Australia. Sadly these patrons may not have a SPORTSBET account or be actually looking to use the toilet as it seems one other reviewer was accused of. Its great to see you judge that reviewer which exposes your lack of empathy for the real issue that was complained about. For whatever reason the TAB licence has been removed from this venue, subsequently it is reasonable that those TAB customers who choose to use the service are not inconvenienced in future or made to feel like second class citizens. (John Singleton uses the TAB by the way and is a wonderful hotelier and Aussie business success story). No one likes to enter a venue where they are not made to feel welcome, the staff are not wearing masks because there are no patrons in the hotel and a simple question is met with rudeness and unfriendly behaviour not likened to a hospitality venue. Nobody likes to be made to feel that way, especially when they realise they have entered a venue under misleading circumstances. Hopefully the NSW TAB agree and take this issue on board.

We heard they served a good lunch, but what an understatement. The best Steak Sandwich and the chips are to die for. Add the friendly family country service and you have the perfect Hotel to rest up at during your travels, or even make it a destination. Thank you Karen and team, for your amazing hospitality.

I recently had dinner here and was quite disappointed. Fisrtly, the good bits. New renovations are top shelf and has certainly changed since the old days. A good selection of beers on tap, classy decor and a great atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. Now for the bad bits. I so wanted the food to be as good as the rest of the pub. Sadly, not only was it not good, it was upsetting. The meals are well below par given the aspirations of the venue and the price. A soggy piece of scotch fillet with a handful of chips, poorly contrived mushroom sauce (which cost extra BTW) and an undressed, bland salad just doesn't cut it. The service was slow and clumsy and one of our party was forgotten. I hope things improve because the old pub deserves better.

end of November 2020 I arrived around 2 in the morning on a business trip with a friend and was in a hurry to find a place to stay, but only one place, this hotel, could be reserved and he answered the phone. Oddly enough, the person answering the phone was a Korean and he was also the owner of the hotel. And my friend and I stayed here for one day. Even though it was late, the boss gave me free ramen and beer, and I feel very grateful for waiting for check-in even though I arrived late, and it remains a good memory to this day. President, do you remember the two young Koreans back then? Thank you so much. always be healthy.
