Honestly, this hotel was amazing. The staff were polite and kind and were very welcoming. the buffet breakfast was delicious and very affordable, the gym and the pool were fun and enjoyable. The indoor pool is pretty big and clean. The room was fresh and clean. Stayed there for a few days and had no complains whatsoever. Everything was just perfect. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for some place to stay in the heart of Sydney.

Breakfast is basic and to get a slice of gluten free bread it takes an average of 20 minutes, with the need to follow up multiple times. The pool is cold and it cannot be heated up - management said that the heating system is designed to take the chill off. This is not stated on their website. Room cleaning was not done for 6 hours during the day, returned to room which had not been cleaned. Had to call reception who didnt answer phone for over 10 minutes so I had to go downstairs to reception for a response.

A last minute trip we scrambled to make happen turned out to be one of the most hospitable, welcoming and personable stays I have experienced. I usually opt for Airbnb or home stays for convenience but since making my trip to the Novotel in Darling square I think I have found my forever stay. Tristans customer service was outstanding - he turned what would usually be a dull check in into a refreshing and exciting experience for all. Tristan went above and beyond to cater for our needs without us even needing to ask, he was personable, proactive and extremely approachable. We all left feeling happy, well looked after and eager to come back - I can confidently say that 90% of that comes down to the service provided to us by Tristan the hotel manager. Great service, great staff and an overall great experience:) Thank you Tristan for your eagerness to go above and beyond for your guests, you never failed to make us smile before leaving the door.

Polite and friendly staff and customer service. They were very helpful when I first arrived and was lost and assisted me in my need for direction. The Novotel is central in its location in the Sydney City area. It is close to Darling Harbour and to George Street and is a walkable or publicly transportable distance from most places in the city. Very much a business hotel, but amenities still available. Meeting and conference rooms available and in use.

Room was clean and quite. We had our anniversary here. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Met cleaning staff in hall way and asked for more shampoos and conditioner (i am blessed with long curly thick hair). When I got back 10 little bottles were there ( perfect amount). I loved the coffee machine in the morning. Parking is affordable, 3 minute walk away. Plenty of charging ports and lighting. TV was easy to use. My only negative thoughts was the room was tiny and the bathroom/felt like i was in a closet. I had the executive king suite. The shower door was a bit strange. Staff took a while to answer the phone. The view was great but the windows were so dirty it wasnt worth taking the photo. Im not sure if they clean the outside of their windows.

The midnight receptions attitude and customer service is really terribly horribly insanely bad. Also, NO slippers, NO towels were given until we asked for it. Worst of all, they cant even afford to provide us water???
