Scruffy Murphys Hotel reviews
4 Star Review by Paul Rose
First came to this place in 2007 and really enjoyed it but then for some reason it went through an identity change and didn't have the same atmosphere or enjoyment factor. Now it seems it is back to how it was and I do like a Guinness every now and then so what better place to get one than in an Irish bar. At least it's not from a can but I wish they would take their time in pouring.

Such a great night out. Good music (especially when live) good drinks, pleasant service but I'm biased because it's my new local bar. You can't go wrong with a great Irish bar!

Went for a sunday roast and a guinness.. The guinnes was ok, but had quite a heavi collar on it. Roast was good One man band on the stage doing irish classics.

$20 for a delicious well cooked rump steak, chips and salad - honestly its unbeatable value and the steak is more tender and flavourful than some far more expensive steakhouses. Music is loud enough but not overwhelming - can hear conversations clearly. Service speed is very hit or miss, sometimes comes out quick, other times extremely slow - order via the QR code while dining upstairs and Im supposed to wait for drinks to come from downstairs despite a bar also being same level? Does the app not connect with upstairs? Rather odd. Also floor upstairs feels quick sticky so better beware of that. Overall very good.

Amazing vibes! Small but fun. The staff are really friendly. The DJ spins out good tunes to dance to.
