First time visit...group of 9..food was lovely! Extensive menu & not a bad comment from any of us! The bar was a bit of an issue....with no wine by the bottle available!!! We had to go to their bottle shop...then pay at the bar...then they could serve it! I felt very sorry for the bar staff with all the confusion...but they handled it well! Can't fault the restaurant staff either! Hopefully we get to visit again!

A genuinely nice small-town hotel. Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere and tasty home-style food. Might have been our first visit but definitely won't be our last.

A real pub! Has to be in Newcastles top 5 pubs for authenticity. Great atmosphere & there's nothing they can't cater for. . .. worthwhile stopping in for a beer whenever you see it's doors open.
