Wouldn't stay. The female manager is extremely rude and swears like a gutter mole. Stopped out front for an ale after getting permission from the bar man to sit with my dogs. He was lovely. She came out told me off. I said she would not get a good review. She said "I don't give a fu$%".

If you are wanting a good nights sleep, then steer far away from this place. The walls are so thin that you can hear the person to the north, south and east of you either talking, stirring a spoon in their coffee cup also use your imagination. The bed is so uncomfortable with you being able to feel the springs underneath. With the walkways directly outside your door, you can hear everyone walking past. Really disappointing.

Reception was so rude couldn't get rid of me quick enough. Only had us booked for 1 night instead of 3. Asked for a quiet spot, no worries she said. In the busy drive way with caravans and cars leaving overnighters. It rained and turned into a bogmire couldn't get to the toilets,my partner needs a walker, were not able to use. Water pressure changes when someone else uses. With two dogs on tow it was hard to keep dry in caravan. Wouldn't stay here again. Definitely go back to the Ridge Would have stayed longer if it wasn't for this caravan park and resort they say..

Lightning Ridge is a great place to visit. I would go back. Lightning Ridge Outback Resort is an ok place to stay. The bistro meals are nice. Good quality and reasonably priced. The downside of staying at the Resort was the toilet amenities. These are clean but very dated. The partition between the cubicles very low. Low like if you want a conversion with someone in the next cubicles they are a great place to meet people.

Called in thinking we would have a beer or 2 and some lunch. We travel with my fur baby. This pub has a great outdoor area which didn't have many people at the time. We asked the cranky bar maid about the food and then asked if we could sit outside with my doggo. Very rude NO DOGS was barked back at me. Oh well that $100 or so they didn't get

I recently stayed a few nights with my young daughter and the motel was absolutely beautiful! Hot water, warm bed, clean cabin, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided! The aircon also works perfectly!! The motel has a pub, bottle shop, restaurant and a beautiful clean pool within the grounds. All the reception staff are lovely and friendly and so are the staff cleaning the rooms. I advise you to disregard the negative reviews because the motel was wonderful! Lightning ridge is an amazing town, Im so glad I got to experience it for myself! Would definitely go back some day!
