5 Star Review by Sue Baggott

Enjoyed our stay here. It was quite a lovely place. Day spa and high tea was lovely. Barrett's restaurant was lovely. Shallows Bar and dining/ room service was also very nice. Some nice walkways for strolling. Very relaxing few days.

A little break with my wife and friends at this beautiful resort at a amazing location. Our two bedroom villa was spacious and clean, walking distance to the beach, the bar and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely we will come back.

5 Star Review by Tammy Grant

Beautiful and peaceful place to spend time, great location, spacious Villas and lovely facilities, although the Lagoon Pool was under restoration while I was here, when it is finished it would only enhance my already wonderful experience. With beach access and great walking tracks. Assistance with baggage to Villas, this was a totally joyful experience.

4 Star Review by Tania Griffin

Absolutely lovely location. Pool in pristine condition. Tennis courts by us were in great condition. Had fun playing. Only 1 car park space. Unable to side-street park. The others parked at visitors and main car park. Hotel bar service great. Overall I would come back again. We had a great time.

Currently staying here for a long weekend getaway. Staff are lovely, especially at reception, however rooms are quite shocking. Have counted about 20+ spiders around the entire villa (2 bedrooms), and 3 huge spiders. Showers reek of mould (with visible black mould), carpets filthy, spider webs everywhere. They really need to up their hygiene game, it feels like a 3.5 star motel or a serviced apartment (without the housekeeping). Very disappointing given we are paying $700 per night.

My stay was ok but the quality of the rooms were that of a motel. No where near the 5 star resort they were claiming to be! My balcony looked like it hadnt been cleaned, my bed sheets had stains and my bedsidw table was covered in stains. We paid around $500 per night for our room and were left dissapointed and felt completely ripped off. I wouldn't reccomend staying here if you were expecting 5 star accommodation.

We stayed a Magenta Shores from Dec 27-30, 2022. We brought UK family visiting Australia. We booked a 3 bedroom villa and studio apartment close-by. The villa was very shabby. There was an open packet of biscuits in an upstairs cupboard collecting flies and the carpets and surfaces needed a thoroughly good clean. The pools were packed with many children all the time. The safe was faulty, On our last night, 2-3 doors along there was a noisy party with people spilling out onto the grass. After contacting Reception - this eventually quietened down. We had to ask for pool towels, light bulbs to be replaced, a sharp knife for cooking, dishwashing liquid. The wifi took ages to sort-our. The staff at Reception were obliging, friendly and apologetic. We will not be recommending Magenta Shores to family and friends. OS venues leave this in the shade. Anni

Bad experience from check in to check out For a 5-star resort you would expect a seamless stay and impeccable service. A complete opposite of what my family and I experienced. We arrived at the resort 11.30am but was told to come back at 2.30pm as the rooms weren't ready yet. Shortly before 2.30, we came back and still the rooms weren't ready. We waited at the lobby, right across the check in counter as we were told it won't take long before the room was okay and that if it took longer than an hour, we would be allowed for a late check out. The rooms were ready 2hrs later (4.30pm), and only after we had followed up the front desk as it seemed they had forgotten about us. When we got to our rooms, we booked a 3-BR, and 2 studio rooms, the floor was still visibly wet, one of the bathrooms have a dirty used towel, the dishwasher was smelly and had left over food, the balcony was rusty and had cobwebs, one of the main doors in the studio unit was broken, the plates were oily. We wanted to use the dishwasher after dinner but it wasn't working. It never got fixed so we had to deal with cleaning our stuff for our entire stay, no offer of any thing from management to assist us. When we checked out, we reminded them of the promise of late check out but they responded that they could only give us 30mins extensjon even if they made us wait for 2hrs to check in. They even said that the owners were arriving and needed their room ASAP so we have to move out and they couldn't do anything about it. They made us move out of the 3-BR and only extended the studio units until 12pm. But before 12pm, our keys were no longer working. For the price this resort charges, the service and comfort we got was so not worth it. I didn't get any apology from the resort management. No offer of any compensation for the discomfort and inconvenience. So disappointed. They were obviously giving priority to the owner and letting us absorb the faulty management/service by asking us to move out. Very very poor customer service.
