5 Star Review by Danielle Leggett

What a cool little place! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the most bubbly, friendly staff, taken to our seats given a run down on the menu and made to feel so welcome! It has such a cool vibe, beer and food.. amazing! After experiencing many cool craft beer bars when I lived in the states, Im always on the look out back home, and this place took me right back to some of my favorite places in the USA. We will definitely be back! May even be our new favorite date night venue!

4 Star Review by Sheldon Marlowe

Craft beers on tap for $12 and decent food set in a 60's original bar, right in the main strip. Weekdays are chilled. Ask who owns the building.

Good, tasty pub food. I had the chicken wing/beer special. 1kg wings and a choice from a good number of beers. The Manager there was awesome. New her stuff and was really helpful. A great choice of beers on tap, as well as pre-packaged. Will be back.

What can I say, theres not another place thats quite like it in Newy or surrounds. Small bar vibes with a big heart. We keep on coming back due to the great food thats served in generous portions, a great variety of beers and cocktails (that changes regularly) and super friendly staff. Never seen such a great variety of regular live gigs and local artists. Weve recommended it to friends and theyre now raving fans too. Give it a go

Came for a couple of bevvies and a meal and didnt leave disappointed. The Tilse Cider certainly hit the spot, so did the Missus cocktail! Ive booked a table for a tasting session with some mates for next weekend already!

I want my old Pourhouse back. How did I use to describe it to my friends? 'You can't get a bad meal, doesn't matter what you order'.... The meat platter was always amazing. I brought so many friends here just for that. Since the reopen, the menu is seriously truncated, hardly any choice. The food is still great, there's just not a lot of choice. The starters are still amazing, and portion size is excellent. Still a great venue in Maitland for a beer, just not sure I'll be bringing my Newcastle buddies in for dinner until the menu improves.

Couldn't pay with cash, rude barman. Will never go to this pub again.
