I don't often give a 5 out of ten and it isn't given lightly. Also this place won't suit the city slicker who wants fancy trimmings. It's a really old place but I love it. The food is always perfect but it's the local cast of characters that really set this place apart. They are all friendly and love a chat. There's live music on Sunday arvo and the whole area often converges there for a shindig. This place is great for interested travelers who want to get out and find a cohesive and friendly small town of real people.

We free camped in the Recreational Area for a couple of nights & visited the pub for lunch & a couple of drinks. The meals were amazing & a great little community vibe about the place. Was also busy for such a remote little pub.

We arrived there on the day of the majors creek birthday party. Put on by the pub to make up for celebrations missed during COVID. It was the first visit for 45 years, and little has changed in the interim. The food is better, the beer is cold, the location idyllic. Anyone wanting the true country pub experience, travel the 15 K from Braidwood. You won't be disappointed.

Closed when we were there. However an interesting pub, which doubles as the town Post Office. Based on the old fuel bowser, would imagine this too was formerly the petrol station. Would like to drop in for a counter meal when open.

Good food and almost always good company where you can have conversations with nearly everyone. The dog got frustrated sitting in the car watching the rabbits frolic unchastened.

An awesome little country pub in a tiny town with cold beer, friendly locals and even a wombat wondering around outside. Next time we will take advantage of the nearby accommodation so we can stay for a few more drinks and the Sunday arvo music. I hear the food's great too. So glad we took notice of the sign on the highway coming into Braidwood - this place is worth driving out of the way for.
