Charles Sturt Hotel reviews

4 Star Review by Bryce McLean

Great and friendly country pub. Delicious meals of Lamb shank and Seafood Basket. The Towns architecture is well worth a look.

3 Star Review by Cumquat

Good meals in a cosy dining room. Might need to ask for half sizes! Too much food on the plate means you won't want pudding. Lamb cutlets and Moroccan chicken.

4 Star Review by Kirsty Morrell

Serving size was huge and the food was delicious! The staff were really friendly, exactly what you expect of a small country town pub!

4 Star Review by Ruth Addlem

The Charles on East Resturant is out the back of pub, walk through down a darkish hall and find your way in. Meals were big and pretty darn good so do recommend popping in here but it can definitely improve on a few things other than the meals. The hallway to the resturant doesn't have a great smell but once you find the restaurant that will fade. Menu is on the wall to the right before the counter, so it would be helpful if it had a sign at the counter to mention that as you walk past it and it's hard to notice its a menu until being told. There were 4 or 5 couples after us that also didn't have a clue. Order meals at the counter in the restaurant and drinks need to be ordered from the bar at the front. Rough crowd out the front bar and minimal service, seems you have to be standing right in front of the taps to get served. Scotch fillet, chips veg and mash with mushy sauce below.

2 Star Review by Gerrit Donnelly

Service was really good. Food portions where to small for the price. Roasted garlic cheese bread looked and tasted like coles home brand bought garlic break with cheese put on top. Service was amazing.

3 Star Review by Steph. P.

Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere - typical country pub. A good solid meal with a Wednesday Special. Cold beer on tap and helpful bar and wait staff.
