We loved this busy fun marina bar we went to for sundowners on Anzac weekend. Very well made generous margaritas, friendly efficient service and great live music. Lots of people off their boats, not too far to stagger home.

my friend and I recently stayed at Nelson Bay and literally ate at Mavericks every night for 8 nights . Food is seriously amazing. Really good quality in all aspects and not over priced. Best schnitty Ive ever had but those scallops and salt n pepper squid is sooo good. Cocktails are also fantastic. And the place has the best spot at the bay - right on the marinas edge. You can watch the pelicans and boats. So relaxing. Staff are awesome too! Will def come back

Good spot for a drink by the bay. The customer service was a-ok...we waited over an hour for our mains to come although we were told it'll be a 45 minute wait for the food. Probably the kitchen was understaffed or the management was prepared for Friday night rush. The food was a hit and miss. Entree was yum and delicious. But the steak & lobster we had was dry...both were meaty but dry and not freshly cooked. It seems like it was cooked but was left on the kitchen table for more than 30ins. The meat and the lobster was warmish. I'd come back here maybe for a drink and a snack but not a dinner meal. It was also a bit too noisy.

Decent pub-style food, with cold beers and a view over the water (depending on where you sit). We ordered the schnitzel and fishermans basket. Serving sizes are quite large, but the prices here are a little larger than average too ($26 for the Schnitty). Food was good - the schnitzel was large, with nice crumb and well cooked. The chips were a little wobbly, but generally ok. Id have been happier if it had only cost $18. Service is prompt and efficient - what youd expect from a pub.

We went here last night and we had the seafood stack - it was fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were lovely and accommodating to kids. The vibe, atmosphere and views were fantastic and the cocktails were great. We would def come back!

Little Mavs takeaway disappointing. $50+ not value. Good luck with the new venture. Gotta go wash it down with a gaviscon. Chips were under cooked. Batter on seafood 4 fish bites, 4 cutlets, 4 calamari not pleasant.
