Amazing food and friendly banter over a drink. If you want to experience Australian friendly chat make a pit stop here on your next journey. Everyone in this town know how to take care of their visitors with warm smile and hospitality. The bathrooms were clean and hygienic

Super friendly barman and owner made us feel very welcome. Love the bush poem the barman recited to the kids after having dinner. Relaxed, old school, country pub with an interesting history.

Stayed in this old pub last night as a last resort.... turned out to be a great experience! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the barman who is a genuine bush poet even recited a few poems for us! Dinner was basic but good value for the price we avoided the fancy stuff and went for roast chook... beds were comfortable and the room cosy and warm, bathrooms clean.... top old pub for a quick overnighter !

Bates Motel meets Faulty Towers....what more can I say, plenty. The rooms are decent if you like roughing it. The food takes forever and the only decent meal is the pizza which I'm sure is cooked offsite. Don't expect great service as there were only two people running the whole place including one probably microwaving the shepherds pie. The showers were Spartan as is the toilet which is shared by all rooms. There are is so much space in this pub but some of it is of limits and not used, crazy.

Stayed for a night on the way back from the GP - rooms very basic but ok, cleanliness could be a lot better, bathrooms had hot water BUT need a BIG clean The place was busy and it is cosy but well dated, the barman was someone who gets grumpy and angry when he is under pressure- about 20 people in there trying to order food (which he texts on a old phone to someone) we ordered food (6 of us) at 6.15 - finished getting last meal at 9.45 ( yes they come out in one and twos) - food was not good , we had venison (which biggest selling point was no worms) , chicken burger (which went in the bin) , Pizza (which was good and the saving grace) shepherd pie (photo attached) For a group of guys who are riding around it was ok - But would not be my first choice and we wouldnt eat there again

What a place! By all means grab a drink and feel the Fawlty Towers atmosphere, but avoid the food.
