Royal Hotel PARKES reviews

1 Star Review by Debra Brown

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS** -10 stars is more accurate. Where to begin.. Paid $230/night for filthy, dilapidated, substandard room. Dirty sheets, dirty microwave, disgusting bathroom, bathtub had dead blowflies, whole room stunk (air vents duct taped closed??), shared kitchen and bathrooms have obviously never been cleaned. Manager laughed at our complaints. Continental breakfast was a half opened box of corn flakes sitting on the kitchen bench. When we asked for a clean towel, manager told us none were available because he had not done the washing. If this is not enough to put you off.. The place is also a 24hr karaoke bar on the weekends which is not advertised. Instead advertising as boutique accommodation And recently refurbished Beyond a joke. Absolutely appalling standard and even worse standard of management.

1 Star Review by Tracey Malvern

Doesnt rate a star at all. The dirtiest accomodation I have ever experienced. Manager very arrogant and didnt care if there was filth, dust, mould and dirt everywhere. It was evident that no cleaning had taken place for many years. Linen and towels were dirty, common areas extremely dirty and unkept. The promised upgraded rooms non existent, continental breakfast non existent. Avoid this place at all costs.

The worst accomodation ever experienced. If I could give a minus score I would, one star is too generous. The Royal Hotel Parks should be avoided at all cost. Our recent stay was the worst experience of our lives. The rooms were dirty, dusty, smelly. Sheets and towels were not fresh, there were body fluid stains and old blood spots. All surfaces in the rooms, hall ways and shared amenaties were filthy never vaccumed or cleaned. The continental breakfast was 2 small boxes of Coco Pops & cornflakes. The shared kitchen was so dirty you would not contemplate eating there. The microwave was atrocious and the refrigerator looked like a crime scene. Bathrooms and toilets have not been cleaned for years. By the end of our stay we felt sick having to breath in all the dust, mould and musty air. When we complained to management he said "oh this is the country" and basically laught it off. Two of the three couples had one towel between two. When we asked for more clean towrls we were told by management there were no towels on the premasis. The hotel advertises "boutique accomodation" what a joke. It also advertises that it will look after travellers and its a place to rest, another joke management could care less after they have taken your money. After arriving we found out it was a 24hr Kareoki Bar, therefore we got no sleep. If we were able to find alternate accomodation we would have. The bar it self was poorly run. It took forever to get served. Compared to other busier bars down the road who had the staff to operate properly. When we adked for a Chardonnay we were told they had to go to the bottle shop. When they returned they had an opened 1/2 empty bottle. This hotel should be shut down.

5 Star Review by Wildlife Robinson

After a long journey on the Elvis Express, greeted by Royal Hotel staff with warmth, humour and a free cold drink... accommodation was clean and I felt I was home, It felt safe and fun... yummy food... cant wait to stay next year... thank you!!! AUTHENTIC, REAL

1 Star Review by Jacob Usher

What an absolute dump of a place. The rooms were atrocious, rubbish on the floors, stains all over the wall and the room smelt so bad. The television and air-conditioning didn't work either. Brought this to staffs attention on several occasions, and was informed the rooms were cleaned daily.... how delusional. Owner pretty much just laughed it off. The best thing about this place was checking out! Avoid this place at all cost.
