The Parkes Hotel (Parkes) reviews
3 Star Review by Joseph Allen
The pub appears to be closed down for good but the accommodation upstairs is still operating. Just stayed in the cheapest room I could find for the night between big driving days and had a decent experience for the price. The room was fine but the aspect that could be most improvement the most would be the shower area. As far as I could tell every room uses shared bathroom/showing area which could be improved but if you can deal with that I think it's a great place to stop in for the night. The person I communicated with for door codes etc was very pleasant also.

Had dinner there 17 March 2021 at 6pm. Nothing flash on the outside but new owner most welcoming limited wine but offered a good sav blanc which we liked. The steak was cooked rare as requested lots good vegetables served. We will return when next passing

Barman gave me better tourist info than the information kiosks. I'll be heading there next time I'm in parkes. Also, those 12 dollar lunch specials use about 20 bucks worth of ingredients. Best meal I have had in 3 months.

Great pub was quiet at time. Oneday will checkout the karaoke. Only 3 stars cause never paid 3 bucks for pool a game of pool before and another 9 for a midi of beer and an orange juice. Just a little pricey. But still great pub.
