The Rockley Pub reviews

5 Star Review by Alexandra Quinton

An excellent experience. The current renovations make the space warm, bright and inviting. The food was excellent, wine list was varied and appealing, service was quick and the staff were friendly and a real standout to the whole experience. It's a spot I've been visiting for as long as I can remember and it's so wonderful to see new life being breathed back into it. Can't wait to see what's to come!!"

We stumbled across this pub while visiting Bathurst, and it was such a hidden gem. Our airbnb was in rockley and we knew nothing about the pub until we arrived there. Firstly, this is a country pub, not a gourmet restaurant. The pub is cosy and welcoming, the menu is small but good varied options. The meals are a tad on the small side so if you are wanting a big meal definitely order a side also. Highly recommend. Will be back

Fantastic country pub experience, tasty food, great atmosphere and best service from the staff special shout-out to Jo for making us welcome. Be good to see some local craft beers and ciders, but some quality local wines to choose from. Worth a visit.

5 Star Review by Ben Jordan

Arrived to the Rockley after a days riding to a super warm welcome by Simon and Jo. The pub is 'unrenovated', having upgraded since the prior owner but maintaining country pub charm (and prices). Fire is kept fully stocked by friendly local and character, Mick. Opting for steak and saving some room for crumble was a great choice for us. The local cab sav was really interesting having a light carbonation; something haven't tried much. We stayed in some of the existing rooms in the pub and they were great pub rooms. We were set up with a b&e roll and ready for the next days adventure ahead. We had a seriously great time having a drink and chatting away by the fire with locals. Really looking forward to coming back another time. NOTE: It's worth remembering this is a country pub first and foremost. If you are some eastern suburbs Sydney 'critic' and who will complain about how long their meal takes on a busy Saturday lunch, or complains about not having the best seat next to a fire in winter, stay where you are. I leave Sydney to get away from people like you please don't ruin it for me.

Travelled out to Rockley to try the pub. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Food came out quickly and was all made from very fresh produce. Prices are slightly higher than your average, but worth it!

Need to know the pub carries his name but not his food. Nice venue, lovely area but disappointing overall. Very ordinary pub menu. Chicken schnitzel deep fried and tough. Prawn popcorn swimming in a pool of oil. Expensive for what you get. Wont be back
