Had a spontaneous dinner here after seeing a film at Verona down the road. The new fit-out looks great and the place has a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food and service and great value for money. Highly recommended!

Cracker pub. Big changes in service..had the Octopus and a schooner..I come from old hotel industry and it's SERVICE that wins the Day...they hit that spot..congrat all!

I popped in yesterday arvo on the way to stage managing the Head On opening and was *very* pleasantly surprised by the level of service and hospitality from the young lady behind the bar. Her name is Amy and she was aware of me waiting to be served, acknowledging me with a nod a and a quick "I'll be with you in a moment" as she served the customer ahead of me. She was genuinely courteous, friendly but most of all good at her job. That is something you rarely see in young staff these days. So often the staff behind bars are more interested in chatting to their colleagues or checking their facebook. Amy is a credit to the hotel and the reason that I will be calling in there again soon, as opposed to the other pubs along that section of Oxford street
