Sawtell Hotel reviews
5 Star Review by Ben Giles
We like going to Sawty Hotel for dinner. The menu is good and the food is usually excellent. The Fish Pie is good but it went up in price rather steeply. The burgers and schnitties are decent. I keep wanting to try the salt and pepper whole snapper they do. I see them come up and its looks yum! Pretty relaxed atmosphere in the dining room.

Always a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere at this venue. Great staff, great food. Worth the drive every time!

I wouldnt recommend anyone eat here. It was by far the worst pub feed i have ever had. I actually feel sick from even eating the chips. Coffe/tea machine turned off at 7pm & also minimal parking outside. Seriously Im not fussy, go elsewhere. The Toormina Tavern is way better.

Had a great rump steak and my friend's chicken surf and turf was massive.

Probably wouldn't go again. Took a family of 5 in, all tables set for four (and most were empty). I asked if we could add a seat to allow for 5, they instead sent us to another area near the punters where all the bigger tables were full. Had to choose a table right near the punters and security came and moved us again as they didn't want kids near the punters (fair enough). The whole charade could have been avoided by either letting us add a chair to one of the 4-seat tables or by just having a few tables set to allow for a family of 5 or 6.

Perfect place to stay, sitting on a beautiful main street with heaps of trees, cafes and even a cinema. Charming old pub, neat, clean, very helpful staff.
