Fast and efficient service from the time you walk in, and the food areas are well organised and plenty of room to be apart from everyone. Very comfortable area. The food service was fast and the food waiters were friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic and amazing. Servings were very generous and fresh. Shortland Hotel has to be amongst my top3 hotel establishments I will eat and dine in. Thankyou to everyone that makes this hotel amazing. 10/10

This place can get really crowded, when it does service suffers as they have a small kitchen and insufficient staff. However during the week, when its quieter it's much better. Good variety on the menu.

We have visited The Shorty a number of times and are always satisfied, however our latest visit is noteworthy.It was the last night to use a Dine Voucher. Place was packed. Kitchen and staff were run off their feet. We stayed. Food came out sooner than what we were told to wait. Everything was cooked perfectly and an abundance of veg while other places have been scrimping and substituting cheaper veg. Our meals were perfect.....again. Through the chaos of the visit we noted that all the staff remained calm and friendly. They were run off their feet. On the way out I called over one of the two chefs who stopped what he was doing and came out and with a smile. I praised him and all the team and thanked him for a great and organised job mainaintained by all of them. Well done Shorty!

We had a great stay at The Shorty. Room was clean and exactly as described. Food was fantastic and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Highly suggest stopping in if youre in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was so clean and smelled great. And all the amenities like fridge, tv, aircon, kettle etc were provided. Would totally come again

Rooms are very old and dirty kitchen is from 17th century showers don't have doors no privacy one toilet for 20 rooms sink in the bathroom doesn't have connected water staff mixed up booking
