5 Star Review by Emma Zurobski

From the moment we drove through the gates our stay was exceptional! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly, polite, helpful, efficient and very professional. They definitely enhanced our stay and cant speak highly enough of them. The garden room was spacious and very clean. The property gardens and grounds were emaculate. Breakfast was delicious and once again the service was exceptional. Didnt want to leave. Will definitely be back!!

Lovely place to stay, quiet, beautiful grounds. We stayed in a Loft room and it was so good, spacious and homely. Staff very friendly especially lovely person in reception who was leaving, she was so nice, they will miss her. Great breakfast room and buffet. Not huge but lovely setting and relaxing music playing. We were only guests plus one other for two mornings and it was lovely. Highly recommend for couples for a special stay, we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and couldn't have picked nicer place to stay. Thankyou so much for making it special.

We had a lovely garden suite room which was great with 2 kids who slept in the lounge area. The grounds are beautiful and the staff were lovely. Pramuk went above and beyond in his service role. Mathilde was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast particularly on the Monday morning, which was a la carte. The bed was mostly comfortable, although had some body compressions so it will need replacement soon. The bathroom could do with a bath. The underfloor heating was great. Overall, a very pleasant and quiet stay and we would happily return!

This place is awesome, beautiful grounds and the staff are friendly and very tentative. Stayed here for my wife's birthday and we loved the area and all the surroundings. The room was beautiful and it was really nice sitting by the fire, eating cheese and drinking wine in our room.

What a big disappointment. First, when i got my room, it looked clean and tidy but when i tried to find my lost item inside the hotel room. It is dirty, dusty and there is a small wooden stick underneath the bed. Second, behind, underneath the side table and furniture, they did not clean thoroughly. For instance, when i wanna try to make coffee, the coffee compartment is dirty, some opened sugar pocket was already there. Third, it says 4 star hotel on the website but i did not feel like i stay in 4 star hotel. Because, the bed is old and i cannot have a good rest through the night. When i lay down on the bed, i can feel the bed is going down. Moreover, the sofa is not comfortable, it feels they got it from second hand shop and they dont provide enough cushion. In addition, they dont have smart TV, even though in some backpacker or motel have smart TV in their room. Fourth, they dont have decision maker. When there is a problem occur, they intend to solve it by the book. Thats why some of their customer is not happy.

We made a last minute booking over the Christmas break. The staff were lovely, warm, and very attentive, especially Matil working on the front desk. The rooms are exceptional clean, and they have lovely Appels products. The grounds are stunning and I'd suggest a stroll.

We came to parklands to attend a wedding for two of our dear friends, while the grounds are lovely and the day started off well thats where the good ended. Staff were rude and unaccommodating. Drink service during dinner was non-existent. Additional drinks (apart from the usual beer and wine) were part of the package for the bridal party however the staff refused to serve those drinks for the bridal party. The wedding coordinator was unhelpful and guests had to set up the reception area, she also left before the formalities were over. It was never explained to the bride and groom that they would need to have the music turned down at 10pm (even though the event finished at 11pm) and at 1030pm the manager forced them to stop the music all together. But that isnt the worst part, the bride and groom were promised a last dance by themselves in the reception room which the heartless manager on duty decided she didnt want to allow to happen. She laughed in the brides face and continuously said its in the contract, even though this had already been discussed with and approved by the venue. She then threatened the DJ saying if he played the music for their last dance that she would cancel all of his future appearances at the venue - mind you, the dj is booked privately by couples for their weddings, not through the venue. If she did do that, those other couples would be without their dj with no notice. The manager on duty really needs to work on her customer service skills. The way she treated the bride was absolutely disgusting. A bride in tears on her wedding night because of a power tripping manager who refused to fulfill an already agreed to request is not okay!! I wouldnt recommend this venue to anyone based on this alone.

The accommodation should have been cleaner for the price.
