Great pub. Has been here since I was in school clothes. Its a small town with acquired tastes. If youre looking for city service go to the city. If youre after down to earth common cozy service then this is your spot. Pack some concrete if you get offended easily.

First visited this venue 6 months ago and was very impressed with the food having a good choice of gluten free meals. However, venue has had a change of management in this time and was extremely disappointed for the following reasons. 1. very limited gluten free choices 2. despite being there Friday lunch time, they had no vegetables at all and therefore all meals came with chips and salad (90% of which was lettuce / spinach leaves). I am not sure how they going to cope for Friday and Saturday evening meals). 3. despite having a large XXXX beer sign out the front, they had no XXXX beer on tap. Very disappointing experience compared to our initial experience.

With new owners comes new challenges. So far the Pub is improving and the staff seem interested. The food seems ok but the lack of knowledge, understanding and application to food allergies and sensitivities will have an impact This may have cost you one customer and each negative customer will usually tell 15 people personally not mention the power of the internet. Keep up the good work Graham. At about 12 Months later from the original review and after being ejected from the Tavern for the review I thought it time to reevaluate the Stuart's Point Tavern. Well to no surprise the venue is no more attractive than before given the countless people who were either turned away by the rude attitude of the Bar manager or simply left of their own accord. From a local point of view we see the poor old Tavern suffering for lack of good service and a friendly atmosphere once again. UPDATE!!!! Well well well what an incredible change to a venue. The new people Justin and Ali offer pleasant service with great food. The PUB as we know has returned to a fun place to be in. Many locals returning after 2 years to join their old friends. The Darts has returned and regular music happening again. And of course don't forget the Crab races. Well done to the new crew and thank you for giving us our PUB back. We all like to follow up on good stories well our pub is one. Back to regular bands, good food and lots good things happening.

We had a wonderful time at Stuarts Point Tavern. Vic was so welcoming and super friendly. He showed us where the best places to visit are (we would have never known about otherwise). We also got dinner, and it was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend!!
