After numerous occasions visiting the ivy, it seems fitting to provide a summary review. I have enjoyed visiting the ivy pool bar for a work event during the day, and also for drinks and pizza in the evenings The concept of the pool bar is unique and attractive, and a great place to bring friends visiting from interstate! There is often DJs and great mood lighting. The vibe is very different night to night depending on the crowd, however. The ideal seats are usually booked, but there are packages you can reserve for a special occasion. We enquired for a hens but didnt find it an inviting offer for a smaller group. Also worth noting that the dance floor has deteriorated in quality of music and energy post-pandemic, so wouldnt recommend coming unless you have a large group to start the dance floor with you! On the whole though, ivy is always nice for a drink, but not my preference for dancing

The pool at ivy precint is one of the iconic places in sydney. Its called the ivy pool. The place is open until 3am, however the bar closes at around 1am. Overall a great evening spent here

It was ok, a lot of check points to get into the actual club. The bar for the event also stop serving alcohol an hour before the event finished. Pretty average with a narrow dancefloor too. To be honest it wouldn't be my first choice

Absolute please to be dining at Merivale venues. The standard and freshness of service is maintained across all venues. Like the foood was so frikking delicious . The staff is very attentive and proactive. The drinks came to the table crisp and undiluted. Which I love.

55 dollars for overcrowded, terrible music taste AND horrible security and management. Friend got kicked out just because he said it smells like vomit. Got back in and was sent for a walk for no reason and wasnt allowed to come back in saying he was intoxicated when he was conscious. Manager came and said he has every right to kick out people for whatever reason and took photos of us for records. A lot more people got kicked out for no reason. Will NEVER go back!

Was really sad to witness them allow patrons clearly in breach of RSA into the venue, whilst denying those that were sober (literally sober if breath tested).

Ivy wow! What a night you provided. 30 minutes into the concert we came to see my friend was asked to leave due to throwing ice at her friend (a single cube and the gesture was playful) anyways I went with her and we stood in silence with shock after being told she was banned for 6 months for it! Still I had came to terms our night was over, once departed from the elevator I turn around to see my friend attempt to take one last sip of her drink but then violently hit by the security guard. When we exclaimed to not touch us as we have been compliant and this is unnecessary we continued to leave to then feel a violent push on both our backs almost Causing us to collapse. This was a final line as we had been completely compliant at this stage and were walking away from the venue when hands were raised at us. I turned around asking not to touch us and exclaiming how not okay this behaviour was. To then be met by management who informed me they can touch us however they want and it is there right yet we had not resisted the ATL. Voices were raised and insults were made on both parties. Which is upsetting it came to this because we honestly just wanted recognition for what was happening yet continued to be told they have the right to use physical force with us (we were not resisting the situation was completely unsafe) The behaviour was absolutely appalling from the Halo security group and seeing from reviews this isnt the first story, how upsetting to be notorious for abusive power play.

Sound system is terrible, drinks are fortunate. Its a shame lost Sundays books the best acts in Sydney but are stuck in this horrid venue.
