Jacksons on George reviews
5 Star Review by James Choi
Here ia another P.J.Gallaghers irish style pub here..except this is known as Jackson on george. This is very pleasant pub, i would say here is rightfully priced (consider the location of pub). This place also have TAB, free wifi (always plus), some live entertainment on friday. Happy hour is available. Foods (i was at tuesday and here does beef and guiness pie for $15) are served really generously. Plus the waitress at the bar - Clona - provides wonderful service. Should come here for one time in the afternoon with friends

Great little place that was a favourite a long time ago, but with everything closed in Sydney, this is a quaint and joyful place to be. Flowing crowd on the weekend

Went to the place last week and fell in love! They have a great deal where if you buy a HUGE pint of beer, its only about 7.50! Though the place has a club at night and does get a little crazy, I would tell anyone to go in during the day to have a nice afternoon lunch or a quick drink!

Apparently this is / was known as a dive bar. To me, it was an awesome bit of home. Being from Canada, I'm used to table service, tipping, fake Irish themes and WiFi. This place had it all and an awesome Sunday roast to boot. How can I go wrong? We do need to check out the other areas of the bar, but I'll be back when I get to Oz again...

I've spent many an hour in this great pub. Great central location near the rocks and the ferries. This hotel is multi-level each with it's own atmosphere. Ground floor has two bars and a nice outside area while inside is a small rustic pub. Lower ground seems to be the gambling den which is good as it means the rest of the place isn't filled with pokies. My favourite is the upstairs levels with nice bars, good deals on cocktails during the week and several pool tables! Another great thing about this pub is they offer pints which is a rare treat in Sydney.
