Swissotel Sydney on Market Street reviews

4 Star Review by CJ G

Room was spacious. Good housekeeping. The only negative was the limited TV channels, and having to pay $34.99 for 24 hours unlimited viewing fir films, when guests are likely to be out and about for most of the day. It would be better to pay per film. There is renovation work being carried out, so the bar area lacks ambience but this will no doubt change when work is complete. Great location; lovely room; helpful and pleasant staff.

3 Star Review by Jane Pham-Nguyen

Location was ideal and the hotel is easy to find. The room overall was clean and the beds were super comfortable! Unfortunate that the TV has no options on screen mirroring since being a 5 star hotel :( I've been to a 3 star hotel and they offered that. Customer service was good, check in was quite easy but I think it was very busy so it took a while. Check out however was fast. There was issues on the day where elevators never came down and always went up, causing many lines and waiting time. No clear indication of stair ways (if there is one) so me and my partner had to climb down 11 floors on the emergancy stairs, then go back up to the reception by elevator, to check out. Staff were nice but something about the hotel doesn't feel 5 stars... if anything, even the 3 star hotel nearby does it better.

Absolutely amazing service! So professional. Room was so inviting and spacious, with a stunning view and breakfast buffet was filled with an amazing selection of delicious foods and drinks. Highly recommend! Thank you guys for your consistent, amazing service.

Very convenient and easy to get to location. For the amount of money we paid to stay for one night, it was absolutely not worth it. Website is not current or accurate with available facilities. Long wait at check in and then had to wait an additional hour for our room to be ready. In the days following I have found that I was charged twice for the same stay. Very dissatisfied, and highly disappointed.

Great location in the heart of the CBD. At the moment there is renovations within the hotel itself so, theres no real luxury upon entry or at reception to suit what this hotel really should be offering. I tried calling reception from my room with no answer and l even tried calling via my mobile with the same result. Staff are doing the best they can with what theyve got to work within. Im sure once these renovations are completed it will be a wonderful experience. Louise, Sydney

Amazing massage and we loved the pool area

I have stayed here with my family on a few occasions. The last couple of times it has become progressively worse. The breakfast service was ordinary. I can say that if there was a cafe downstairs serving this food they wouldnt last a month.. theyd have to shut there doors as no one would return. How can this be 5 star??? We also had an issue where my family were stuck in a lift for 30 minutes which resulted in my young child becoming overwhelmed with anxiety from it.. the management never called to see if we were ok or asked any questions at all.. it was just considered to be nothing. To us it really interrupted our stay and caused my young son to get very nervous when entering the lifts for the next few days there.. a total headache for me trying to manage him. I told the management this and they kinda shrugged their shoulders.. How can this be 5 star???!!.. This poor level of service will have us book somewhere else next time. Completely dissatisfied with this experience and will avoid Accor hotels in the future!

I had a room with a balcony which was nice to sit and have room service at, and I also took advantage of my trip by having a beautiful relaxing massage on site.
