Good old fashioned pub.the meals are fantastic and also the service and customer service. Our room had no light's due to the weather shorting out wiring The manager was upfront and had excellent communication with me in trying to fix it. Unfortunately couldn't be fixed but gave us complimentary meals on our last night.excellent handling of the situation.

Stayed here recently on a Saturday night before City2Surf and you basically are paying for the location. Staff are friendly but the room itself could improve - no bin, only 1 towel for a booking with 2 guests, no heating or cooling, no basic kitchen supplies (not even a couple of glasses to have a drink of water) and room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly as someone else's food was in the fridge when we checked into our room. Shared bathroom is okay and quite modern, and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash was good. Can be very noisy if staying on the weekend. If you need somewhere relatively cheap to stay for the night right in the city, it's a great location, but missing a lot of the basics you find in other cheap motels.

I was gone for over a month and only go in a couple times a month but the staff still remembered me and asked where I'd been off to. Excellent staff and they really take care of the clientele. The chicken schnitty is amazing as well.

Very dated hotel. 6 bedrooms shared 2 bathrooms. All in very bad repair. 4 flights of stairs to bedrooms, no lift. Perhaps ok for backpackers. We checked out, really couldn't stay there

Vintage hotel with a great history. If you've got more than four people in the group and looking for budget prices in CBD, this hotel will be suitable. Definitely recommend.

impression as described. Generally nice employees. Problem Office from the pub is on the first floor between the rooms so there is a noise nuisance even after 2am. Location is definitely an advantage.

We spend one week at this hotel in a double bedroom, it was great for the price. Perfect location, we have been everywhere by foot. No AC, but one ventilator in the room. And good to have a fridge. Two glasses would be nice to add in the bedroom. Otherwise we spend a good time there.

Room rates are great, comfortable beds. customer service was excellent they were all amazing very accommodating and friendly. Location amazing, and food OMG!! Will definitely stay again.
