Came here for an evening and found the room pretty simple. The place has a quirky vibe with decorations at the walkway, and whimsical bed pillows (checkered). There was no dramatic view to be seen on the windows but, it had everything we needed for a little rest mid-activities. I found the mattress too soft, and slightly hurting my back. Husband slept well through the evening.

This motel was located in an ideal location for our purpose. Staff were friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate us with a ground floor unit to avoid stairs. The room had an unusual odour, bathroom floor still had residential talcum powder from previous guests and the shower floor was still wet. It rained during our stay and the rusted downpipe poured water everywhere. Biggest gripe was the price. For $225 per night one would expect a microwave and toaster. Not so, had to request a toaster, which was provided later, but no microwave. Don't think we will return.

One of very few motels in the area. Rooms reasonably clean and tidy. Service great. Staff always friendly and willing to help.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great pool, nice warm spa. Room itself was nice especially the shower, beds were comfortable. Lovely aspect, leafy and lots of bird life. Great for kids. Only negative was no toaster or microwave.

The stay was different so many little things wasn't done or didn't work house keeping a bit slap dash little things not done or finished like bed half make no bin bags at one stage small things that made you laugh.

Recently spent 5 days at Checkers its close to the Northern Beaches and the city the staff are excellent and the owner Raj has transformed it into a lovely place to stay when in Sydney. I highly recommend Checkers.

I had high expectations for this resort but to my surprise i shouldve lowered my expectations. It was around 2am and our neighbours were making a racket, next second, me and my family were accused of this sound and we were almost kicked out. Absolutely shocking.
