Cauliflower Hotel reviews

4 Star Review by Rhys Travels

A lovely and comfortable pub in Redfern in walking distance to Waterloo. Friendly service. Their Monday $15 rump steak with chips and salad was good. Steak was cooked well, served with a good portion of chips and salad.

3 Star Review by Feeds For Three

Cool looking pub with a nice upstairs/rooftop area. Food was average, got the fried chicken burger, parts of the chicken were a bit undercooked. Fries needed more salt. Decent portion size though.

Dropped in to the Cauliflower Hotel in Waterloo last Saturday, for a beer. Strange name so I looked it up. In 1838, which makes it the oldest Sydney pub that I am aware of, they had a bumper crop of, you guessed it, cauliflower, and so put some of the profits into a new pub. You really need to go inside to appreciate the real beauty of the cauliflower. It has been given a very modern update and it is very tastefully done. When the Sydney Metro is running, with the station straight across the road from the pub, this will be a must on a Friday evening after work. I would recommend.

Went on Sunday for the roast pork. It's was excellent, well cooked with crispy skin generous amount of vegetables, carrot pumpkin potatoes broccoli gravy. Highly recommend.

was recommended to come here by another pub that we stopped into for a feed and they weren't offering food. They weren't wrong. The tacos are spot on and the shoe string fries were perfect. The stout was tops. Pretty damn good

5 Star Review by Laurence Letendre

Great local pub. Plenty of vego options and a good selection of tap beers. Probably the best trivia in Sydney as well.
