Pacific Hotel reviews
4 Star Review by Bob H
Fine dining - not here! But - great food in a typical country town pub. Its noisy, you need to book a table or be here early. The night we ate here the oysters were fantastic, as were the other meals we had. Happy to eat here again any time.

Didnt stay in the hotel just went for lunch. The staff were friendly and did advise there would be a delay with the meals due to how busy it was so well done for being upfront so didn't mind waiting. The drinks were well priced and we enjoyed the cider on tap. Had the burger to be honest was a little dry patty was a bit over cooked. I would avoid Saturday as it was way too busy and extremely noisy which distracted from really enjoying our meal.

We went to the Pacific Hotel and were extremely disappointed in the menu selection and the quality of the food. For such a small menu, the food should have been of a far greater quality. I had fish and chips. The fish was quite good but the batter was extremely greasy. The chips were very over-cooked and the salad?.well not good with soft cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Probably made for lunch service and left over. My partner had the Veggie burger with a side of chips. Not a terribly flavoursome pattie, very thick slices of pickled red onion, tomato and butter lettuce. And once again, chips that were so overcooked, they were crisp all the way through. There certainly needs to be a big effort put in to improving the menu and the food quality going forward. As a recommendation, give the Pacific a wide berth till they sort out the kitchen

Had lunch . The view is great. Food service very slow. We were told 50 minute wait. After 50 minutes still no food and staff didn't seem to know. A further follow-up after another 10 minutes finally yielded the food. Prawns great, burger ho hum. Would I go again and wait an hour? No

After dining here twice while on holidays I had to knock off one star as our second visit was a little disappointing. Food is delicious- no doubt about that and the view is spectacular! Down sides- parking is limited and no kids menu. We ordered the battered fish and chips for our kids to share which was $27. Only came with two very thin pieces of fish which for that price was disappointing. Husband and I shared on both occasions the buttermilk chicken pieces and squid both of which were delicious and well portioned, especially for entrees. Service was friendly and reasonably quick.

Ordered the t-bone chimichurra special. Tasted great at the time but little did I know a few hours later I would be sent into a spiralling oblivion of vomiting and diarrhoea. I would not even wish what I experienced upon my worst enemy. Please ensure your food hygiene procedures are up to standard. Otherwise, good view.
